How to Prepare for a Brazilian Wax
The same prep applies whether you book Brazilian wax or Brazilian sugaring—enough growth and clean skin matter most.
- Let hair grow. For best results, arrive with at least ¼ to ½ inch of hair growth so there is enough length to remove from the root. Hair that is too short may need a reschedule; if you are unsure, message us a photo or call/text (720) 428-0856 before you come in.
- Do not shave the area before your visit. Shaving removes the hair wax needs to grip.
- Arrive with clean skin. Skip heavy lotions, oils, and sunscreen on the area that morning.
- Wear loose clothes and breathable underwear, and leave a little buffer so you are not rushing check-in.
- Skip the hard workout. When you can, avoid intense workouts, hot yoga, or heat right before or after your appointment.

Aftercare & Ingrown Hairs
Mild redness or warmth is common and usually settles within a day or two. Follow the window your esthetician gives you:
- First ~24 hours: Keep the area clean. Avoid intense heat, heavy sweat, hot tubs/pools, and tight clothing that creates friction.
- After that: Gentle exfoliation a few times a week, light moisture, and breathable fabrics support smoother-looking regrowth. Do not scrub while skin is still reactive.

Which is right for me: Brazilian wax, Brazilian sugar, or laser?
It depends on your skin, your hair, and how you like to maintain. Waxing and sugaring both remove hair from the root during a studio visit, and you can book either as a single appointment with no series commitment. Laser is a different category of treatment offered by medical or laser providers, usually as a series of sessions; talk to a qualified provider about whether it fits your skin and hair, and ask for a written quote that includes the number of sessions. How long does a Brazilian last?
Results vary with your hair-growth cycle. Most clients rebook when there is enough new growth for the wax or sugar to grip—often several weeks later—and your esthetician can suggest a rhythm after your first visit. Laser providers generally describe gradual hair reduction over multiple sessions; ask your provider what to expect.
Does a Brazilian hurt? Is wax or sugar better for sensitive skin?
Sensation varies by person and by area, and there is no single answer for everyone—some clients prefer the feel of sugar and some prefer wax. Enough growth, clean skin, and steady communication help with either. Tell us about sensitive spots, recent skin reactions, or products you use on the area; we work with you, not around you. Many clients find maintenance visits more comfortable over time.
Can I switch between waxing and sugaring?
Yes. Both use the same prep, so you can book a Brazilian sugar one visit and a Brazilian wax the next—just choose the matching line item in online booking. If you are having laser treatments elsewhere, follow your laser provider's instructions about waxing or sugaring between sessions, and let us know when you book.
